It's currently 23 degrees right now in Kansas City...not my ideal weather. BUT, I wanted to share with you all a piece that has made this loathsome weather just a tad (a small tad) more tolerable.
I bought this amazingly warm puffer coat a few weeks ago, and it was just in time because we have had some brutally cold weather in Kansas City lately. The brand is Laundry by Shelli Segal, and I just love this brand, as they have some really lovely clothing.
I love this coat for many reasons...
1.) This coat hits at mid thigh, which is great because I wanted something long enough to where I wasn't going to get a cold draft up my coat if I bent over. It also fits pretty true to size. I usually wear an XS or Small just depending on the item of clothing. I chose to get a Small just in case (I would rather have something fit a bit loose than too tight). I think I made the right decision, because if I have a chunky sweater on underneath, I am not restricted in the slightest.
2.) It is INCREDIBLY WARM. I was nervous that because it is so pretty, that it may lack in the warmth department, but one of the reviews online that I read sold me on this one. The woman lived in Minnesota and said that she wears it all the time, so I thought to myself, "Well if this coat works for a Minnesota winter, then it should absolutely work for a Kansas City winter."
3.) It's black, and for those who know me, I tend to wear a lot of black because I feel that it instantly looks a bit more polished. With this coat, I feel like I could wear it around town running errands during the day, but because of the color, I could also wear it out to a nice dinner if need be.
4.) This ample sized faux fur hood is my FAVORITE part....I feel like the size gives it a rather dramatic look, that I love.
5.) I just noticed that this coat is actually on major sale right now. Click here to check out the details.
If anyone is on the hunt for a gorgeous, yet functional winter coat, I think this is a great option to consider. This is not an ad by any means, I just love this coat so much that I thought it would be good to share. I would love to hear of any other outerwear options that you all are loving this season!
I hope that you all are having an amazing day (and staying warm)!
